This simple gift doubles as a picture frame and CD case. Cut a piece of cardstock to fit the width of a jewel case. Fold in half, decorate the front with a favorite photo of you and Mom, and finish with other pretty embellishments. Fit into the front of the CD case, using the back fold to prop the case as shown.
An ordinary pillar candle can easily be turned into a personal gift for Mom on Mother’s Day. Print photos on tissue paper (tape the tissue paper onto cardstock to run through your printer), cut out the images, and wrap the candles with the printouts. Use straight pins to keep the images in place. Use a heat gun to apply heat to the paper and the candle until the wax has saturated and coated the image. Finish by adding sparkling rhinestones and other embellishments.
