The drive from Brindisi to Rome is around 5 hours.

If you feel that you need a break, Rome will surely reward you…

Rome

Departing from Rome and driving northeast, in less than four hours drive you will be at La Spezia.

Riomaggiore is the first village of the five villages just 15 km. from La Spezia.

The best solution is to park your car here and explore the villages by the train.

In the villages you can’t use the car and there are a few available parking.

The train ride between the villages lasting only a few minutes.

At www.trenitalia.com you will find information about the train rides.

Another way to travel between villages is with the local boats from April to October, and when the weather permits.

The only village that is not accessible from the sea is Corniglia, since it is built up and has no port – pier.

You can see the Schedules for the boats here www.navigazionegolfodeipoeti.it

Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore is built between two hills and its gorgeous high colored buildings reach to the small harbor at the sea.

From this village starts and the most famous path of the national park «Via dell’amore», which leads to Manarola.
To visit the paths you should buy an access card from the National Park, you can get information from the park’s website www.parconazionale5terre.it

Manarola

Manarola is literally built on a cliff and hanging over the little port with its green waters which invite you to chill out.
And here the architecture is colorful, happy and simply imposing.

Corniglia

Corniglia is the only one of the five villages that has no access by the sea, with beautiful narrow streets and enough privacy.

Vernazza

Vernazza is one of the most beautiful villages. Built on the sides of a small creek with gorgeous green waters.

Monterosso al mare

Monterosso is the most cosmopolitan of the five villages because it has the largest beach and the most easy access by car.

During the summer months from La Spezia you can get a boat to visit the magical Portofino…
Here is the time to relax in luxury..

Portofino

Choose a luxury hotel like Splendido to captivate your senses …

After this trip… you can definitely tell that … you left a piece of your heart in Portofino …
