DIY – 5 Surprising Valentine’s Day Cards

Valentine’s Day celebrations—whether at home, work, or school—are marked by the anticipated exchange of handwritten notes, decorative cards, and sweet gifts.

Nothing says “I love you” like a personalized, hand-made card.

Need a bit of inspiration for how to get started? Check out these adorable DIY Valentine’s Day cards.

Valentine’s Day DIY Cards

Take a thick page of A4 paper.

Fold it in the center and from a deck of cards choose a Queen or King of Hearts (depending on the sex of your beloved one).

Glue it on the folded paper and write beneath it “ King or Queen of My Heart”.

On another thick A4 piece of paper which you will fold in the center , glue typical small birthdate candles.

Paint with a red marker small hearts above the wicks writing above them “ You Light My Fire”.

This is one of my favorite cards for St. Valentine.

From an old map cut in the shape of a heart a beloved area and have it glued on a rectangular carton.

Using your computer write in Palatino Linotype font the phrase “ you mean the world to me”.

Print it on a standard A4 sheet of paper.

Cut the message in an oblong strip long enough for it to fit on the back side of the rectangular card.

Fix the strip on the back side with some glue or double- sided tape .

If you do not have a computer or printer you can write the message by hand.

You can say “ I Love You” in a more original way with one of the two ideas I will explain below.

You all remember our  beloved game with numbers ( Fortune Teller ).

Print the drawing from here and then follow the instructions as to how you will fold it from here.

I love this idea, print the drawings from here, cut them and wrap the matchboxes. Along with a few matches you put your message in the matchbox.
